Terms of Service
Effective Date: July 1, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BlogAPI ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including developers, organizations, and team members who access the Platform through any interface — including the web dashboard, REST API, or any SDK.
2. Description of Service
BlogAPI is a headless, API-first Content Management System (CMS) designed for frontend developers and engineering teams. The Platform provides:
- A web-based dashboard for creating and managing blog content, organizations, and projects
- A REST API for programmatic content delivery and management via scoped API keys
- Organization and team management with role-based access control (Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer)
- Media asset hosting and CDN delivery
- SEO metadata management including OpenGraph and canonical URL configuration
- Secure authentication via email/password and Google OAuth
3. Account Registration & Security
To use the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
Accounts found to be in violation of these Terms may be suspended or permanently deleted without prior notice.
4. Bot Protection — Google reCAPTCHA
To protect the Platform from automated abuse, spam, and fraudulent account creation, BlogAPI integrates Google reCAPTCHA (v2 and/or v3) on authentication flows including sign-up, login, and password reset.
By using these forms, you acknowledge that Google reCAPTCHA will collect hardware and software information (such as device and application data) and send it to Google for analysis. This data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. reCAPTCHA v3 assigns a risk score (0.0–1.0) to interactions; submissions scoring below our threshold are automatically rejected as likely bot activity.
5. API Keys & Programmatic Access
The Platform issues scoped API keys tied to specific projects and organizations. You are solely responsible for the security of your API keys. You must not:
- Share API keys publicly or commit them to version control
- Use API keys to access content beyond their defined scopes
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, brute-force, or circumvent API key validation
We reserve the right to revoke any API key that we reasonably believe is being misused. API keys may have expiry dates and allowed-origin restrictions configured by the key creator.
6. Organizations & Team Members
Users may create Organizations and invite team members with defined roles. The Organization owner is responsible for all activity within their organization, including actions taken by invited members. Invitations are sent via email and are subject to acceptance. We are not responsible for unauthorized invitations sent by compromised accounts.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Publish, distribute, or store content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or attempt to overload our infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform beyond normal API usage
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable local, national, or international law
We employ Redis-based rate limiting on all API endpoints. Repeated violations of rate limits may result in temporary or permanent IP bans.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all content you create and publish through the Platform. By uploading content, you grant BlogAPI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and serve that content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform.
All Platform software, design, trademarks, and documentation are the exclusive property of BlogAPI and may not be reproduced or used without prior written consent.
9. Data & Privacy
We collect and process personal data (name, email, IP address, device information, session tokens) as necessary to operate the Platform. Session data is stored securely and associated with your account. You may manage active sessions from your account settings.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data shared with Google via reCAPTCHA is governed by Google's own policies. For full details, refer to our Privacy Policy.
10. Service Availability & Modifications
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Platform and all associated data may be permanently removed.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlogAPI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users via email or an in-platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
